This report was completed on foot of a Policing Authority request to examine the dispersement and use of resources available to the Garda Síochána in the delivery of policing services. It examines policing from the strategic perspective through to operational service delivery and looks at the measurement and understanding of demand as well as allocation of resources across the organisation.
How the Garda Síochána engages with local communities and partnership working is also reviewed. Considering previous outstanding recommendations in more recent reports the Inspectorate framed its findings and the actions needed to address them into nine critical actions.
