The Garda Inspectorate notes the publication today of the Report of the Commission on the Future of Policing in Ireland. The report covers a wide range of issues reflecting its broad terms of reference and makes a large number of recommendations and proposals. The Inspectorate shares the Commission’s vision for improved community safety through the provision of modern and effective policing services. It will now study the Report and its finding.
