In agreement with the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, the Inspectorate focused its first report on the structure of the Garda Síochána and in particular the Senior Management Structure.
The report makes twelve recommendations in relation to senior manager posts in the Garda Síochána with an emphasis on increasing the civilian representation in those senior management roles. The report also provides an alternative organisational model to the existing garda structure.
